Dr. Raymond Stein Promoted to Associate Professor of Ophthalmology

Dr. Raymond Stein received an academic promotion in May of 2011 at the University of Toronto to Associate Professor of Ophthalmology. Dr. Raymond Stein has received honour awards from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists. He was voted by members of the International Intraocular Implant Club (IIIC) in 2002 as a lifetime member. The International Society has a limit of 200 worldwide members and is considered the most prestigious society in the world for cataract and refractive surgeons. He has delivered over 300 lectures at international scientific meetings, 5 keynote lectures, and was invited guest speaker to 19 prestigious hospitals, universities, or societies including Wills Eye Hospital (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), Bascom Palmer Institute (Miami, Florida), Washington Eye Hospital (Washington DC), Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minnesota). and Phillips Eye Institute (Minneapolis, Minnesota).

Dr Raymond Stein was invited to lecture at the University of Toronto, Walter Wright Ophthalmology Conference on Dec 4, 2010 on “The Future of Cataract and Refractive Surgery”. His presentation covered exciting new innovations like Femtosecond Cataract Surgery, Intraoperative Wavefront Analysis , Calhoun Light-Adjustable Lens, Dual-Optic Accommodative Implant, Corneal Inlays, and Microwave Keratoplasty.
